# Recording your first guide

How to use the Dubble Chrome Extension to record a guide

Welcome to Dubble! Recording your first guide is simple.

1. [Install the Chrome Extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/odinmjjdainghmojdffgpjmkefajhlbn)

2. Pin the extension to your browser bar

3. Register and log into your [dashboard](https://dubble.so/dashboard), if you haven't already.

4. Click on the extension, and press "Start Recording" to start a new recording. Optionally, you can go to the recording settings first to configure colors, behaviour and whether video and audio should be included with the recording.

5. When you’re finished, click the Dubble icon in the bottom right corner of your screen to end the recording. Hover over the icon to see more options, like pausing or blurring content. See [Onscreen Controls Overview](https://help.dubble.so/en/articles/40-onscreen-controls-overview.md) for details.

You will then be redirected to your new guide in Dubble once it has been processed, ready for you to edit or share with others.
